Solid and light

I have used the pan to fry some fish that I have catched. Make sure you are using a good amount of oil//butter/ghee and never cook "dry" since there is typically an enormous amount of heat when cooking over flame. I also have an MSR FryPan, but prefer the heavy cover since it is slightly larger in diameter and definitely lighter.
I like to make little camp pizzas where I use an 8" wrap as crust over a smaller fire and the HC Frying Pan is ideal for that purpose. Just whatever you like as toppings and chow away :)

It is so lightweight. Heats up fast, cools down fast. Perfect for carrying in a pack.

Titanium is much differnt to work with when it comes to cooking but after learning how to use it properly I can enoy the benifets of an extremly lightweight and durable material that will last a lifetime.

Perfect for it's design/use

I admit strong bias, I own two HC canteens and gift them to people I really like. Carry one with me here constantly in the WY Outback whether on horse, foot, motorcycle or truck. Carry one while in Denver. On HC site to order another as I just gave one of mine to my brother Eric the Devil Dog.Huge fan of the canteen, shit, I'm rambling.
Actual subject, this titanium fry pan. It is incredibly lightweight, this is achieved by making it thin. The thinness makes it cook much more like a Wok than a conventional fry pan. Attention MUST be paid while it is on the heat. If you want the ease of use, evenness of heat and predictability of say cast iron, man up and pay the weight penalty. The laws of physics don't stand violation. The size is way larger than any other TI pan I know of on the market, other TI pans don't hold a reasonable portion for me alone. This pan will hold 3 or 4 slices of Elk loin very comfortably. In short a portion for an outdoors appetite. It is light and thin enough to keep in your pack constantly. The actual cooking surface is the same diameter as my Partner/Cook's favorite cast iron pan's cooking surface. I mention her because she is an actual cook, with a more valid pan opinion than mine. (she was 82nd Airborne as well) She says she prefers her cast iron when possible, like many chefs. Mentions that compared to cooking on sticks, flat rocks, tin foil, or a canteen cup on it's side, this pan is light years ahead.
I'm hunting Elk this month. Looking forward to fried Elk tenderloin at 11000 feet or so. In my pack, carrying salt and some black pepper, with of course, this pan.

Very Lightweight!

This is an excellent pan for single, maybe double, backpacking cooking experiences. It is very lightweight but the bottom is very thin so distribution of heat isn't the greatest. I burned the bacon, literally, by trying to do too much, too quick (cooking for 4). If you take your time and don't overload the pan, it works excellent! Very good quality, as always with Heavy Cover!
